WHEN THEORY MEETS EVIDENCE
University of Cergy-Pontoise
April 7-8, 2011
Abstract : The labor market is not an ordinary market : labor is not an ordinary good and being unemployed/searching for a job is not an ordinary activity. Overall, the working of the labor market stems from complex mechanisms which need to be more deeply investigated. For instance, agents’ heterogeneity matters. This workshop aims at giving an overview of the diversity of existing theories on the labor market and at making a point on the state of the art.
Invited speakers are prominent specialists on the field. Their theoretical models are driven by the concern of fitting evidence.
We are looking forward to having you at the workshop. We also hope to see you numerous during the presentations and that you will enjoy this event.
