GDPoweR - Récupérer les données des travailleurs pour négocier et observer les conventions collectives dans l'économie des plateformes

Co-financé par la Commission européenne, la DG Emploi, Fonds social européen+ (FSE+), les Lignes de prérogatives sociales et de compétences spécifiques (SocPL)

GDPoweR est un projet de recherche collaboratif du THEMA, CY CERGY PARIS UNIVERSITE, en coopération avec six autres organisations de recherche et de partenaires sociaux de cinq pays de l'UE (Autriche, Belgique, France, Pologne, Espagne).
L'équipe de recherche en France est coordonnée par Cynthia Srnec, chercheure au THEMA (csrnec [at] cyu.fr)
Le projet se déroule d'octobre 2023 à septembre 2025.
L'objectif principal du projet est de soutenir le développement des relations professionnelles dans l'économie des plateformes, en particulier en ce qui concerne les accords visant à réglementer la collecte et l'utilisation des données des travailleurs.
Axé sur les secteurs du VTC et de la livraison de nourriture, le projet explore trois domaines clés : l'impact de la collecte de données par les plateformes numériques de travail sur le bien-être des travailleurs et l'action collective, les stratégies des partenaires sociaux dans la négociation et la mise en œuvre des conventions collectives, et les défis liés à l'application de ces accords.
GDPoweR s'appuie sur une méthodologie développée par Hestia.Ai, dans laquelle les données des travailleurs sont récupérées par les travailleurs par l'exercice des droits du RGPD. Pour mettre en œuvre cette méthode, nous organiserons dans chaque pays participant des ateliers de récupération des données et des groupes de discussion pour discuter avec les travailleurs aux enjeux de la data dans leur activité.
Des informations sur les stratégies de négociation et d'application des accords seront collectées par le biais de recherches documentaires et de groupes de discussion avec des militants et des représentants des partenaires sociaux.

Two Full Professor positions, Finance / Economics

The Department of Economics and Management at CY Cergy Paris Université and the Thema research center invite applications for two Full Professor positions, starting September 1, 2024.
For one position, all fields of Economics and Finance are eligible. For the other, we are specifically looking for candidates in Finance or Financial Economics / Econometrics.
The two positions carry a significantly reduced teaching load and a substantial research allowance during the first two years.
The successful candidates will have a clearly demonstrated ability to conduct and publish research at the highest international level. They will be expected to teach in both graduate and undergraduate programs, supervise PhD students, and provide service / leadership to the department or research center. Ability to teach in French is not required initially but expected after a few years.

One Assistant Professor position (tenure-track), Finance / Economics

The Department of Economics and Management at CY Cergy Paris Université and the Thema research center invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, starting September 1, 2024.
All fields of Economics and Finance are eligible.
The position carries a 5-year tenure clock – which can be shortened to 3 years for candidates with sufficient experience and a strong publication record – with a significantly reduced teaching load and a substantial research allowance during the tenure clock. A decision for promotion to a tenured position at the full professor rank will be made at the end of the tenure clock.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD degree by the appointment date and show outstanding research potential. Ability to teach in French is not required but will be taken into consideration in the tenure decision.

The Department of Economics at the University of Cergy-Pontoise is offering an Assistant Professor position, which is scheduled to start on September 1, 2019. It will last five years corresponding to a three-year contract renewable for two years after a mid-term evaluation. Following a successful tenure evaluation at the beginning of the 5th year, the Assistant Professor will be offered a permanent senior position.

The successful candidate should have demonstrated an ability to produce quality research in any field of economics and complete his or her PhD by the date of the appointment. Ability to teach in French is not required, but will be taken into consideration in the tenure evaluation. The university provides training for French as a foreign language.

The position benefits from a junior research chair funded by the Paris Seine Initiative (http://theparisseineinitiative.org/fr/) covering the first five years of employment. It entails a substantial teaching reduction over the five year period so the teaching load is approximately one and a half one semester course. The chair also provides substantial research funding.

The Department of Economics and Business at the University of Cergy-Pontoise invites applications for a Labex MME-DII Research Chair in Economics, with the rank of Professor. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree and have an excellent record of research and publications in any field of economics. The successful candidate will teach at the graduate and undergraduate level, supervise doctoral students, maintain a state-of-the-art research program, and provide senior leadership in the department. Ability to teach in French is not required, but will be appreciated (some courses are taught in English).

For the first four years, the successful candidate will have a reduced teaching load (45 hours/year, i.e., 1.5 one-semester course), and receive dedicated research funds (€10,000/year). The annual salary is €55,000 – €75,000 before taxes (€44,000 – €60,000 after taxes), depending on experience and qualification.
