The Department of Economics and Business at the University of Cergy-Pontoise
together with the Labex MME-DII invites applications for a position in Econometrics or Theoretical Microeconomics at the level of Full or Associate professor.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION/QUALIFICATIONS :

 

Applications are invited in all fields of Econometrics or Theoretical Microeconomics. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or doctorate degree in economics and have a well-established record of research and publication. Being able to teach in French is not required but will be appreciated.

 

The successful candidate will benefit from a reduced teaching load (45 hours/year) during 4 years, will benefit from dedicated research funds (10000 euro/year, over 4 years). He/She is expected to teach at the graduate or undergraduate levels, to supervise doctoral students, to be committed to a state-of-the-art research program, and to provide senior leadership in the department. The position is expected to start on September 1, 2013 (or on a mutually agreed date). The annual salary will be €55,000 – €82,000 before taxes (or €44,000 – €65,000 after taxes), depending on experience and qualification.

 

The Department of Economics and Business of the University of Cergy-Pontoise is among the best ranked French departments in economics - 5th in France, 44th in Europe, 123rd worldwide. It is located in the Paris area (30 km from Paris).
